Are there any recipes on how to make Starbuck's Mochas without an espresso maker?
I have looked on the internet for recipes on how to make a Mocha similar to those at Starbucks, but have been unsuccessful. They all require the use on an expresso maker, which I do not own. Are there any recipes that allow me to make a Mocha without one? Also looking for recipes for tasty hot drinks such as tea/coffee/hot chocolate that I can easily prepare in the morning and take to school in a mug.
You can make a terrific coffee in a little machine called a moka
[see here http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Moka_(coffee_pot) ] they cost from five to fifty dollars, depending on size and quality, and even the cheap ones make really good cafe style espresso coffee on the stove.
Then heat milk in the microwave and add flavorings like powdered chocolate, vanilla, flavored syrups and your espresso coffee.
If you want frothy milk, you can either shake it in a shaker (like one you mix diet shakes in) or there are small battery powered milk frothers you can buy. You can even shake the warm milk in an old plastic milk bottle.
