Caffeine effects on fertility: Myth or fact?
I found this. I drink alot of diet coke and eat choc. Do you believe this or do you think its pretty silly? Most parents must do alot of this without ever having fertility problems!
"More than 300 milligrams of caffeine per day may reduce fertility by 27 percent.
How much caffeine are you consuming?
Restaurant coffee has 350 mg in an 8 ounce cup
Gourmet type coffee has 175 mg in an 8 ounce cup
Brewed coffee has 115 mg in a 5 ounce cup
One single shot of Espresso has 100 mg
An 8 ounce Cappuccino has 100 mg
Instant coffee has 57 mg per 6 ounce cup
Decaffeinated coffee 5 mg in a 5 ounce cup
Brewed tea varies between 20 to 110 mg per 6 ounce cup
Iced Tea 12 ounces 70 mg
Instant Tea 30 mg in a 7 oz cup
A 12 ounce can of Coke has 30 to 56 mg
Diet Coke has 38 to 45 mg per can.
Sprite and 7-Up are caffeine free
For our precious Chocolate,10 to 50 mg for just 2 ounces
Cocoa has 4 mg per 6 ounce cup
Pain relievers, 1 tablet is 30 mg and up"
its fact. Drink water and hubby drink water. No hot tubs, tight undies for him. Sitting a lot can even effect it. The heat from the sitting all day if sweat (goes with the tight undies) makes the testicle sweat and kill off the living sperm that is ready to go. Also doing it more then once every other day will not be good. "old" sperm ready to go. More he "goes" the better..so if he is gone for a week and you Ovulate day he gets home. Its best if he "takes care" of him self two days before you O. if you can not be with him. Ive even heard processed cheese and yogurt can effect it. I tried with both sons for over a year. 2nd one I got off all my cheese and yogurt. And got pregers not sure if was really part of it or no. Good Luck.
